OYEWOLE, Oluropo Babatunde

Dr Oyewole, a non executive Director, is an Economist and Banker with rich academic background and very deep professional trainings in Africa, Europe, and the USA. Born in Ijesha-Isu, Ekiti State, Nigeria on 17/05/1962. He is married with Children. He holds a PhD degree in Development Finance from the University of Bradford in the U.K (1993). That was after a B.Sc Economics from the University of Ilorin (1983), and M.Sc Economics & Finance from the University of Lagos (1988). He also has an MBA in Marketing & Business Strategy from Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye, Nigeria. In the year 2006, Dr Oyewole also did Certificate course in “Private Enterprise Development” at Harvard University, Boston, USA. He has attended and facilitated in so many local and international seminars, workshops and trainings that enhance his professionalism in no small measure. He started his Banking career in December 1984 as Project Economist with the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB) at Lagos. He left the Bank as Senior Economist in April 1995 to join Banque Internationale du Benin, Cotonou immediately as Senior Manager, Treasury & Money Market Operations. After holding many positions (inclusive of a year leave of absence to work as Assistant Secretary General of West African Bankers’ Association in Freetown Sierra Leon) up to the level of General Manager in the Bank, he left the Bank voluntarily in January 2009. Currently, Dr Oyewole works in Cotonou, Republic of Benin as the CEO of APPA Funds (the Investment outfit of the African Petroleum Producers’ Association). He is well travelled and has been of service to his community and the general public in various capacities. He is also a Minister of God. Currently, the Managing Director/CEO, Mr Jide Aremo is being assisted on the day to day running of SUPREME MFB by a team of five (05) Heads of Deparments and some Senior Officers, each of who have adequate and relevant qualifications and experience to diligently pursue the businesses of the Bank in the areas committed to their hands in order to fulfill the Missions and Vision set by the owners of the Bank.
